About
A field guide to the small makers.
What is a microbrand?
A microbrand is a small, independent watch company — often founder-led, usually selling direct-to-consumer, and producing watches in small runs. They tend to move fast, design boldly, and offer a lot of watch for the money.
How this list was compiled
Through editorial research across watch publications, enthusiast press and brand sites, in November 2026. It's a curated directory, not an exhaustive census.
Prices are approximate USD guides and model line-ups change often — always check the brand's own site.
Model photos are official product images hotlinked from each brand's own website and remain the property of those brands.
The badges
- Heritage revival
- A historic name — sometimes decades old — revived or relaunched with a microbrand-style approach.
- Boundary case
- Often discussed as a microbrand but larger or more established than most.
